Cleaning Up Google Page 1: Suppressing Outdated Negative News for a Corporate Group

Client Profile: A 20-year-old Real Estate Conglomerate.
Service: Online Reputation Management (ORM) & Search Suppression.

1. The Problem

Five years ago, the company faced a legal dispute. It was resolved and they were cleared, but three negative news articles from that time were stuck at the top of Google Search (Positions #1, #2, and #3). Every time a potential flat buyer Googled them, they saw “Lawsuit” headlines, causing them to back out.

2. The Strategy: “Dilute and Push Down”

You cannot delete news from third-party websites. The only solution is Reverse SEO: creating better, stronger content to outrank the bad links and push them to Page 2 (where nobody looks).

  • Asset Network: We created and optimized 15+ high-authority profiles for the brand (Crunchbase, Medium, Pinterest, SoundCloud, About.me).
  • Digital PR Blitz: We published 10+ fresh press releases about the company’s recent CSR activities and successful project handovers on high-DA sites like Yahoo Finance, TechShohor, and Dhaka Tribune.
  • Video SEO: Since YouTube videos rank easily on Google, we launched a channel with “Customer Testimonial” videos optimized for the brand keywords
A line graph showing Google Rank (Y-axis, 1-14) over Time (X-axis, Month 1-6). A red line labeled "Negative Article" decreases from rank 1 to 14, while a green line labeled "Positive PR" increases from rank 8 to 1.
3. The Results
  • Total Clean-Up: After 5 months, the entire first page of Google (Top 10 results) consisted only of the company’s website, social profiles, and positive news.
  • Negative Suppression: The negative articles were pushed to Page 2 and Page 3.
  • Trust Restored: Digital inquiries increased by 35% year-on-year.
